Nakkh: “Not since World War II, more than 60 years ago, has there been faster and more sustained deficit reduction," Lew said. “The American economy today is better positioned than any other advanced economy in the world.” http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2014/10/15/nations-budget-deficit-falls-to-lowest-level-since-obama-took-office/?tid=rssfeed

Homer: HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!! Nakkh your funny...
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 07:28:35 AM

Fleedle: Not since world war II has the deficit risen as fast as it did from 2008-2012. SO instead of talking about the debt which is around 17 trillion dollars the supporters of our failure of a president like to crow about how he took the deficit from 1 trillion to around half that. So now we are only spending 500 billion more a year than we bring in. Fabulous. President Obama has the largest deficits, totaling $6.8 trillion projected for his eight years in office. President Bush is next, racking up $3.294 trillion over two terms. Thanks for the fast, sustained deficit reduction Barry. The balls they have to boast about cutting spending. And to be honest, its nakkhs me out that bright people actually buy it.

BigJay: Have any of you tried to make modifications to a commercial building lately? Did you know you cannot add an entry door (to an area that does not already have a landing of equal or greater length and width as the door opening)without having to do a storm water assessment plan? (TRUE FUCKIN STORY)
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 08:29:35 AM

snippy: ^ down at the county planning commission here you arnt even allowed to talk to the pricks working there about developing a property until you give them 2000 per tax lot first, its called a systems development fee. and you have to pay even if you dont use the county sewers and live off the grid.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 08:39:44 AM

Homer: Obama is a fucking joke, and the sheeple still love him..
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 08:50:52 AM

snippy: obama turned out to be an asswipe but i dont blame the demise of the america that i loved completely on him. hes made things way worse but i blame the bush dynasty most.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 09:20:34 AM

Nakkh: Whoo-hooo- Politics....
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 09:41:08 AM

UncleJesse: Obama is the 2nd best President ever. Clinton was #1. Hilary will be right up there also, probably #3.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 09:42:13 AM

Maynard: UncleJesse: Obama is the 2nd best President ever. Clinton was #1. Hilary will be right up there also, probably #3.......tell me why Obama is the 2nd best president.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 09:46:43 AM

UncleJesse: Clinton gave us 8 years of peace and prosperity and Obama pulled the economy out of the ditch that Chimpy put it into.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 09:50:04 AM

BigJay: obuma lookedt like a rudderless ship talkin bout ebola last night... Let's have an "ebola czar"... Yeah, that's the ticket...
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 09:57:36 AM

Maynard: i don't know about that...i thought William Henry Harrison & James A. Garfield were the best 2 presidents we've ever had.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 09:58:04 AM

Homer: Do we even live in the same universe? UncleJesse: Obama is the 2nd best President ever. Hilary will be right up there also, probably #3. (i did like clintion but damn jesse)
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 10:01:11 AM

Homer: PS, i thought washington, jefferson, lincoln where much better then 2 of the 3 you said uj.. Man you most smoke some good weed.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 10:06:54 AM

snippy: i thought Lincoln was terrible because he shit on the states rights but i think james k polk was ok, cause oldt granny liked him and thats good enough for me.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 10:10:25 AM

UncleJesse: Chimpy left things in such bad shape, Americans were so freaked out that they voted for a black man with a middle name of Hussein. We forget how bad things were back then. Banks failing, Iraq war a shambles, 911 happening under Chimpy's "watch", it was a trainwreck in slow motion for 8 years.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 10:12:18 AM

snippy: and then there was/is the fucked up vice presidents. darth cheney=evil incarnate and fuckface biden=stupidity approaching bizarre.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 10:19:19 AM

BigJay: Kidt Biden pissedt hot for coke. Got kickedt out of the Navy. He prolly foundt it on daddy's desk
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 10:23:09 AM

Nakkh: ^ Ha- I read that yesterday...
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 10:45:06 AM

Opack: Jay, it was John McCain's idea to create an Ebola Czar.....
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 10:50:01 AM

BigJay: ^ Last I checkedt, John McCain ain't president. Not many bucks stop at this presidents desk.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 10:51:40 AM

Opack: Yep, youre right, so if he WERE president, then it would be totally OK and the best solution EVER, but since we's gots a black man in dere, it's a shitty idea..
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 11:02:41 AM

Nakkh: " The balls they have to boast about cutting spending. And to be honest, its nakkhs me out that bright people actually buy it. " I see what you did there...
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 11:12:58 AM

Maynard: pixrbog's first political flame war!!!
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 11:26:22 AM

Fleedle: Nakkh, when writing the comment it just jumped onto the page, and I said it with all due respect. UJ, All the credit Clinton gets would have gone to George H.W. Bush if not one Mr. Ross Perot. Without Perot, Clinton never gets elected- and all the attendant benefits of the internet boom etc gets credited to H.W. Even Obama could have been a good president during those times.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 11:36:08 AM

Nakkh: Heh- No problemo fleedle.... Pardon me while I go ban you. ;-|
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 11:38:33 AM

Fleedle: Has anyone been banned yet? Remember when they used to call ITM the banatee?
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 11:41:53 AM

Riverrat: Jobless recovery is a joke. If you don't mind getting a minimum wage part time job there are lots of jobs out there. If you want to be able to make a living forget it. But Obama has a plan to solve that problem, just raise the minimum wage so there will no longer be entry level jobs.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 11:43:44 AM

ITM: Do you want fries with your banning there, Fleeder??
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 11:47:54 AM

Nakkh: Blame the corporations for that- They have been chipping away at workers pay for years. American corporations have 4 trillion dollars squirreled away and are raking in record profits. yet where is that trickle down love the republicans messiah Reagan promised everybody?
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 11:49:41 AM

Fleedle: C'mon! Reagan was more than 30 years ago- its bad enough blaming Bush for all Obama's problems but now the economy 30+ years later is Reagan's fault? Grading/judging politicians is very difficult because everything effects something else. Its like having 100 people throw rocks in a pond and trying to figure out who is responsible for which ripple. There are many reasons for the erosion of the middle class- to say its either party's fault is ridiculous. Political partisanship is the delusion that one party is more honorable than the other.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 12:11:14 PM

Homer: whast the point where all gonna be dead from ebola soon anyways see you all in hell...
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 12:11:35 PM

gettheledout: Fries? Don't fret, I'm on it
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 12:12:19 PM

Riverrat: Agrees with fleedle.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 01:25:28 PM

Nakkh: Republicans are still drinking the 'trickle down econ' idea. Look at Kansas right now -----------------------------------> " Fleedle: C'mon! Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 01:49:04 PM

Fleedle: The guy cut the top state income tax from 6.5 to 4.8ish - and everyone is going nuts you'd think he shot oprah. Im no economist but havent there have been times in the past where cutting taxes led to more tax revenue and greater job growth?
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 02:34:08 PM

BigJay: Opie, how has every other czar work out? obuma izza black man with a yella belly. I wish Herman Cain would have been our "1st black president"... That sombitch wooda kept it interesting!
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 02:59:24 PM

Nakkh: http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/in-kansas-gov-brownbacks-reelection-race-is-case-study-in-republican-party-shift/2014/07/30/3192d86c-1420-11e4-8936-26932bcfd6ed_story.html ----------------------------------------------------------------- " Kansas' tax rate for top earners dropped from 6.45 to 4.9 percent, with further future cuts baked in. The cuts were even more generous for business owners, entirely wiping away their tax burden for pass-through income". ----------------------------------------------------------------- I really hope Brownback gets re-elected so he has to face the music with the disaster he created by having to reverse the cuts he made and admit tax cuts & budget cutbacks have their limits.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 03:50:06 PM

Nakkh: Sorry text formatting- hard to break things up.
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 03:51:06 PM

gettheledout: I think a point man for the potential ebola problem is a wise move because the guy from the CDC is clearly in over his head. Recycling another bureaucrat to the position in which he has absolutely no experience tells me he's going to be the message man that "there's nothing to see here", someone Earnest can deflect difficult questions to. My gut feel is they're correct on this, it's a bunch of overblown fear caused mostly by the inept response of the CDC. Let this guy do the talking so Obama can get back to what's important: fundraising
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 04:04:50 PM

Nakkh: Is the CDC under homeland security now?
Fri, October 17th, 2014 @ 04:30:14 PM

Fleedle: "admit tax cuts & budget cutbacks have their limits." I think everyone would agree with this. All tax cuts are not bad, obviously some taxes are needed. Here in good ol florida we dont have any income tax- thanks tourists!
Sat, October 18th, 2014 @ 07:48:35 AM

Nakkh: In ca it's ridiculous. I'm moving up to Oregon at some point soon.
Sat, October 18th, 2014 @ 10:29:18 AM

SmokenHerb: Federal tax is bullshit! Just saying we should support our state but piss on the feds.
Sun, October 19th, 2014 @ 05:00:09 PM

Riverrat: The states get tons of money from the feds. Supporting the feds is supporting the state, to some degree.
Sun, October 19th, 2014 @ 05:35:36 PM

SmokenHerb: Yes but the feds hover a heavy hand over the states in order to get this money. Here in Missouri the feds have time and time again said they would cut off our highway funds if we didn't go along with them and that's really the big money. In the primaries we had a ballot up stating for a 1/2 cent increase in sales taxes we would take care of our own highways but the dumbass votes didn't understand and it didn't pass.
