this gun is effective of upwards of 500 yards. thats 1500 feet. if you have a shotgun you gotta let them in real close. so home defense maybe, but a shotgun wouldnt be the best for neighborhood patrol.

The problem is once fired, those rounds are gonna keep going for 1500' or until they find an unintended target in the neighborhood.

thats true^. but nobody ever wins outside the house fighting a small arms battle with a shotgun. and besides, just know where your rounds are going. its called fire control. and you also know the bad guys dont care where their rounds end up and they wont be using shotguns. but shotguns are alright for home and Im glad you advocate home protection, im just sayen the difference tween the two.

AK-47 platforms are good for most, kinda like the Jeep of rifles. Galil is great...but $$$.
