HechoAmano: In Arlington, the city notified their first responders last week they had doses and to get a time for four days of shots...then later that day or hours later, completely flipped out and told the public that anyone who wanted could come and get a shot while supplies last. Ran out in less than two days, and all the emergency workers, cops, etc, that had signed up for last two days got nothing. Pretty stupid, but they're doing it again this week I think.

HechoAmano: I personally two nurses who got Covid last week after they got the vaccine. One probably might have had it when they got the vaccine, the other one tested positive several days after.

Riverrat: From the time you get the first shot then the second shot it's about 6 weeks before you are immune from the virus. You will start building up immunity to it about 2 weeks after the first shot. It isn't something that you get the shot and you are immediately immune. Also even after you are immune you can still be a carrier. So masks and social distancing are still required until most people get vaccinated.

Riverrat: Here they opened up for seniors but they had to signup for a time slot. They had so many people try to sign up it crashed the website and the phone system. They were getting 2000 phone calls per minute.

Riverrat: I'm not old enough to qualify getting it yet. From what my niece who is a nurse has said I think I want to wait to get the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. It's a traditional made vaccine. The other two are mRNA vaccines which are a new thing that she isn't sure about yet.
