Riverrat: It's terrible that so many innocent people got killed and injured in that explosion but at the same time because of how devastating it was it's probably a good thing they don't have what ever it was that exploded anymore.

Riverrat: From what I've read for ammonium nitrate to become an explosive it has to be mixed with a fuel like diesel or kerosene. It would take thousands of gallons of fuel to turn that much into an explosive. That is why they don't believe the authorities in Beirut about what it was.
