HechoAmano: Ok, this might be way to simple, or just my simple mind thinking, but how about this...the FBI gives Apple the damn phone, they all go into the top secret bunker at Cupertino, an Apple gee whiz banger puts it in an off the grid, dedicated mac that Apple has set up to crack iPhones, (you KNOW they got one already) DL's the info on the phone, then walks over and hands the info to the FBI. That sounds like a pretty good solution to the problem to me.

HechoAmano: Maynard, I hadn't heard that part, I thought the FBI just wanted them to give them the cracking ability firsthand. I also have a hard time believing the eggheads at the NSA can't crack the iPhone, but I would agree that they wouldn't want to share.
