weave: Some dog tried attacking my dog, went straight for her neck. I put my hand over her neck to protect her while my wife (and eventually the owner) pulled the dog away. I got real lucky it wasn't one of those dogs that will latch onto you and just never let go. However, the fucking owner never got rabies shots for the dog so I may need to get shots.

Riverrat: They probably should have amputated it to prevent the spread of rabies.

snippy: hope your sweet little dog is alright!

Maynard: Holy shit!! Did ya get in a couple good kicks to ribs?

weave: So the owner ended up being really sweet. She went with me to the hospital and let me take pics of her ID and dog's papers. I did tell her I had to call the police to protect myself and she said it's OK, she understands. Told the cop she was cooperative. They still have to file a report with health department who is going to monitor the dog closely. She'll probably get fined for it not having shots. I'm just praying the dog doesn't get sick cause if it shows ANY sign of illness, they'll take it and test it for rabies, which they have to kill the dog to do. I just don't want to have to get the shots myself of course.
