Brings back a lot or memories, some no so good. I remember when Apple was trying to make Firewire the standard, USB also came out around that time, but it was a lot slower than Firewire. The problem? Apple wanted to charge PC makers, like, I dunno, $20 a logic board to integrate, and those damn cables were about $20 for a three foot long one. Meanwhile, the Intel/Microsoft gang either gave away, or charged, like, 50 cents, to integrate USB on logic boards. We all see who won.
