UncleJesse: Trump doesn't care about govt waste. He's cheated on his taxes for decades, which has increased the debt. This is a power grab to keep himself out of prison, privatize parts of govt as favors for his rich supporters, intimidate the press and Congress to stay out of his way, etc. Soon he will tire of Musk taking the spotlight and it will be a messy breakup like all of his relationships.

Riverrat: To think that the amount that he pays or doesn't pay in taxes effects the national debt is laughable. His tax bill isn't in the billions or trillions. Probably not even in the millions.
