BigJay:
I never thought I would see the day whenst the French President would show the American President how to combat an enemy... sadt...

Riverrat:
^Yup, rolls are reversed. The French are fighting and Obama is surrendering.

Nakkh:
^Except he's not.

Homer:
Lol @ nakkh drink deep the Obama coolaid

weave:
The U.S. has carried out over 6,000 strikes against ISIS targets over the past year. France does two and suddenly they are leading and the U.S. is doing nothing.

BigJay:
Just heardt France capturedt 5 terrorists overnight. Now they needt to buildt them a luxury prison in the South of France.

Fleedle:
We have been bombing ISIS for a year- 6,000 air strikes isnt jack shit. Should be doing hundreds a day, of course the dumb cocksucker shouldnt have pulled out all the ground troops against the advice of the generals either. The president is a clown and the whole world is seeing it.

Fleedle:
And how about our flapping vagina of a sec state, John Kerry:
"There’s something different about what happened from Charlie Hebdo, and I think everybody would feel that. There was a sort of particularized focus and perhaps even a legitimacy in terms of – not a legitimacy, but a rationale that you could attach yourself to somehow and say, okay, they’re really angry because of this and that."
Translation: They printed pictures offensive to zealots so they got what they deserved.

weave:
The Kerry comment was the worst thing to say and I don't see a single liberal site defending it. He's an idiot and should resign. As for the Iraq situation, the ground troops were withdrawn based on a timetable and agreement Bush signed back in 2008. Iraq is a sovereign country and we can't stay in there if we aren't welcome. The entire ISIS thing happened because we destabilized the entire region taking out Saddam on some lie about WMDs. Yeah, he was brutal -- but that's what it takes to maintain order in that part of the world. Fred Rodgers isn't going to be able to run a country in the middle east.

Fleedle:
Those timetables get bumped back all the time, we needed to get a new agreement with them and did not. That is a pussified excuse the admin uses to explain away its failure. Recall Biden saying that Iraq was going to be one of the administrations greatest successes. Everyone in the military knew it was a bad idea to pull out, an excuse that we werent welcome is ridiculous. Leaving early destabilized the reigion. Also whacking Kaddafi was stupid with no plan in place and then pussy footing around with Assad about red lines while he is gassing his people also had alot to do with destabilizing the region. But, wait for it....blame bush! (and by extension the majority of dems in congress who agreed and voted with him)

Riverrat:
France has been bombing ISIS all along. They just carried out more bomb runs since the Paris attack. As for our bombing there are complaints that Obama has setup such a difficult rules of engagement that the military has to go through to get permission to bomb anything that takes up so much time that by the time they get permission to bomb a target the target is no longer there. Kerry is an idiot and should have been tried as a traitor back during the Vietnam war.

Fleedle:
75% of our sorties dont bomb anything. The pilots are pissed that it takes too long to get clearance to pull the trigger. Thats why the admin like to talk about missions flown and not airstrikes.

weave:
Shame. Who cares if we bomb the occasional wedding party and kill a bunch of innocent people including children. So tell me, how is that sort of indiscriminate killing any different from what the terrorists are doing? In both cases you have regular people just going about their every day business, not doing anything wrong, and then suddenly bombs rain out of the sky and they are dead, or their loved ones are dead or maimed for life. How do you think they feel about the U.S. after that?

snippy:
ya^. the whole mess is a clusterfuck that breeds more clusterfucks.

Riverrat:
No one is talking about bombing innocent civilians. They are complaining because they locate legitimate targets and by the time they get approval to bomb them the targets have moved on They need to speed up the approval process.

Fleedle:
Yea thats what everyone wants to do is bomb weddings and birthday parties. Typical lib debate technique: You dont agree with me? You must want children to die!

weave:
Ah, it happens -- a lot. Innocent people often die in those bombings.

BigJay:
Why do attacks always happen in "GUNFREE ZONES"... Don't the terrorists know they are breaking the law?...
