HechoAmano: Parrots are neat, but they are some mean motherfuckers if they don't know you. African parrots are the meanest. My dad knew a guy who used to smuggle them in back in the old days.

Fleedle: my friends mom was a wild bird rehabber for years and she ended up with this big loud ass maccaw, it would screech and holler and constantly yell BARBRA BARBRA BARBRA BARBRA. annoying as shit and they never figured out who Barbara was

HechoAmano: We had some family friends, dad got them a smuggled parrot, African, we would visit for years. The parrot could bark like their dogs, the dad taught him to say Bullshit, which he would do when company was over, and he could sing the aria note the mother would sing. I think the mother was his bonded person, he would snap at everyone else. Years later dad got another one, I think, the dads mother, which we kept for six months. That parrot loved me, I doted on it, a year later when we went to visit it, it tried to kill me.
