Deleted User: Too much is being made of carry on campus. We need to stop making excuses for the mentally ill and those that deny there is a problem. We need to expand responsibility to those close/related to them that enable and arm! Serious. Look at the parents of the Columbine shooters, the parents of the CT shooter, and now this horrible event. The father of the CT shooter , would have been more engaged if he could loose all in a lawsuit brought by victims. We have to stop sticking our heads in the sand and force responsibility if needed.

Maybe the parents could have seen something and reported it but the bottom line we are responsible for our own actions not someone else. Also the only thing that gun free zones create is shooting galleries for terrorists and the insane.

Deleted User: We have to stop the actions before they get to a school/mall/church/etc. To have armed amateurs like school teachers start returning fire in the middle of civilian chaos will ramp up causalities. To hire and staff 4 to 5 trained armed guards per facility is both unreal and expensive. People who have experienced a firefight understand the confusion, sounds, running, herds, etc. This is hard for trained experts in battle conditions to sort, let alone the untrained.
