HechoAmano: People were really freaking out during the embargo. You could only get gas every other day depending on the last number on your license plate, even/odd numbers/days. Gas was under .20, jumped up to....50 cents maybe, during? This lasted about six months of off and on supply, then, no kidding, some friend of my dad was eating somewhere where the gas hauler guys had lunch, and overheard one of them saying there would be plenty of gas after memorial day, dad told us. There was. One of my first conspiracy stories.
