Riverrat:
If wild thing keeps blowing things up you should buy her a bicycle.

snippy:
im working on a near foolproof rig for her Rats but its gonna be spendy. she's racing her bmw around as we speak. i cross my fingers she pays attention to the gauges.

snippy:
problem is she wants something as quick as the bmw.

Riverrat:
I have a friend that got a good deal on a jeep Cherokee because it had some body damage. He fixed the body damage and had it repainted and was letting his daughter use it. She didn't pay attention to gauges or warning lights and promptly blew the engine up. He is not happy with her at all. It was a completely preventable problem. All she had to do was call him rather then continue to drive it.

snippy:
im thinking of getting her a restored 66 dodge dart with a three on the tree and the slant six. she loves the look of them. they might have been the most reliable car ever. however she wants a new turbo subaru now.

Mutts_Nuts:
Snippy you should know by now the words foolproof and woman don’t fit in the same sentence, just like good food and ratty, clamm, homer and oh! The list is endless on here!!!

Riverrat:
The dart would be a good choice. The slant 6 was a good motor and easy to work on. You could put an electronic ignition in it to make the ignition more reliable and not have to worry about points and condenser. I'm probably one of the few remaining mechanics that still has a dwell meter. Haven't used it in years so I don't know if it still works.

snippy:
i have a good one too, a sun. ive had it for 30+ years. electronic ignition would be great. same with disc brakes. i'd hang on to the points distributor tho in case of EMP attack.

Riverrat:
Most of the time you can get a kit that just replaces the points in the points distributor. So it stays in the car. That would make it really simple to switch it back. It's a shame that Nuts will never know good food. He's just stuck eating what the old queen doles out.
