HoDo: Ok, so this is where I almost got in trouble. No western citizens are supposed to by brand of things seen above. They won't take any credit cards, debit, Alipay that is not from a Chinese bank / person and they didn't even want my cash. Took me an hour to tell them I was trying to buy a birthday present for a Chinese buddy. Many phone calls and visits from local officials, but I got it with cash in the end. The only place that I could not spend my money in the country...
