Riverrat: Goody, the government gets another big chunk of money from Speedy Inc.

Speedy: The fee isn't bad, it's the time required to figure out how to comply, and to fill out and file all the correct documents. And to change a bunch of practices and procedures.

BigJay: I wuz lookin to install a door where there's a window in the new building. 40" door requires a 40"x 40" landing. No problem... "septin the new obuma EPA changedt the regs on commercial buildings from 1,000 sq ft to ZERO... sINCE 40"X 40" IS MORE THAN ZERO, I needt to spendt $9,000.00 for a storm water site assessment and permits. Shoulda seen the face on the Twp's Manager whenst I saidt they can kiss my ass for $9,000.00. I'll findt a way aroundt it... I'm creative that way.

gettheledout: This is the first year we didn't have to do a storm water report. Actually we have never had to do a storm water report but someone higher than me in the food chain was convinced we did so we put a lot of man hours and effort into wasting our time. Keep track of each storm event which occurs during times the facility is manned in the following manner: 1. time rain started (if it started before the first person arrived "upon arrival" is acceptable; 2. time rain stopped; 3. note whether rain water ran off the facility property at the low point (annotate as "discharge did/did not occur); 4. note the name of the witness of the storm water discharge; 5. sample the water for testing if it is discharging. The annual report should include a list of all storm events during the rainy season (for us that's Oct 1 - May 31). We literally just disposed of our sample kit or I'd send it to you, but it should be easy to find one online. Why they made a Burger King™ go through all this I'll never know...
