HechoAmano: I have a few customers who work at the GM plant. I asked one about it and he said only certain plants went on strike because the UAW directors wanted it that way. From what I could tell, the strikes are happening at slower plants, not like the GM plant that's always running because they make SUV's there. I kinda laughed. He said all the union workers voted to strike at all plants, but he also said the UAW owns a lot of stock in car companies, so go figure they don't want a complete stoppage.

HechoAmano: Auto Workers make so much money for doing so little. At one time we had a customer who worked part time for us for awhile. He worked at the nearby GM plant in inventory. His job was to take incoming shipments or parts, screws and crap, and sort them into bins, more or less. This was back around ten years ago, but I think his pay was about $65-70k a year plus overtime. But like any good over paid union flunky, he bitched when he started having to pay $10 a month for healthcare. I roasted him for that comment. Nice guy, but oblivious to the real world.
