Aqua:
That's not gonna help you sell brah

Riverrat:
This was at a house in Dallas.

deez:
we saw this story on the news this morning. apparently the guy has a video camera on the side of his house and it points into the backyard of the house where this sign is. i dunno if there are other problems with the guy or not. didn't catch the whole story.

Riverrat:
The people who put the sign up have dogs barking all the time. He put the camera up to get proof for the city about the barking dogs. Then the city issued them a $120.00 noise ordinance fine. And they think the guy that's tired of listening to their barking dogs is the bad neighbor.

deez:
oh, ok. guess i missed a lot of the story. ;)

gettheledout:
only a douchebag would put a sign up on his lawn calling someone else a douchebag

BigJay:
Agrees with Aqua lomfl...

HechoAmano:
I hate to say it, but I can sympathize with the "bad neighbor*. Long years ago we lived in a house, one of the older kids living next door came home with a dog once, when it wasn't a cute puppy anymore, it was thrown in backyard, no doghouse, no nothing. It barked constantly, and loudly. Finally in the middle of the night I looked up their number and called them. I asked her if she could put the dog up as it had been barking most of the night, and probably mentioned how it barked all the time. They put the dog in the garage for a few days, then back out the dog went. Once again, middle of the night, called, SHE HAD THEIR PHONE NUMBER CHANGED AND UNLISTED. I thought that was pretty stupid considering all I did was get dressed,

HechoAmano:
...oops, get dressed, WALK ALL THE WAY NEXT DOOR, and ring bell, knock on door. They opened, I repeated my request, they put dog up. This last another few days, until dog went back out. Back I go in the middle of the night, ring bell, knock (bang) on door. I hear the back door open, and close. They never left that dog out at night again. He got to stay in the garage.

HechoAmano:
I read the story yesterday, two city employees, including city manager and I think a councilman, have been out there and asked him to remove it, he refused both. It isn't against the law to have that sign there, so there's NOTHING anybody can do about it. Don't really think he's trying to sell the house, y'know.

Riverrat:
We had a neighbor that left a dog tied up in their back yard all the time. It would bark all day and yank on it's chain. A couple times it got away. It was actually a nice dog. Just was lonely being tied up in the back yard all the time. If anyone tried to talk to them about the dog they just got mad. Eventually the dog broke it's neck pulling on the chain. If you can't care for your dog don't get one. Chaining them up in the yard all day is not caring for them. I can sympathize with the alleged bad neighbor on this one.
