deez: they were incredible. ian gillan took a lot of breaks throughout, so there were a lot of instrumental solos, but it was amazing. they're fantastic musicians and his voice is still spot on. not bad for a 70 year old. plus, they seemed to enjoy being up there. when we saw tom petty last, they just seemed to be going through the motions. maybe it was because tom petty was incredibly stoned. lol. but yeah, if you get the chance the see them, i don't think you would be disappointed. they had a local dallas band open for them. can't remember their name, but they were pretty good.
