ITM: Three ton A/C can get it like a meat locker in my little house if it doesn't turn off....Brrrr last night I was shiverin in me boots. Got down to 64 degrees F. I had to turn it off about 3am

Speedy: A bad capacitor is not going to make it stay on. Sounds more like a thermostat or relay problem.

ITM: It was the thermostat (found out later). The capacitor was weak he said. It was running and cycling like it is supposed to when he came to check it
