KingHade: Weave, its a simple sensor at the bottom of the transmission... You can change it yourself...

weave: Thanks King, that's what it sounds like. Still -- not real confident. I'll get my brother to do it, LOL. I've actually had this CEL throw a few times in the past and then clear itself a day later, like almost annually. It'll go, then be fine for a year. Anyway, my wife's Ford Transit hasn't had ANY problems (been almost 4 years now). I love the Fit, but Honda quality is bullshit. Oh, it's also had like 8 recalls for various things too. Latest now is not a recall but a notice that some power steering issue is being warranted for 150k miles if the problem pops up.

KingHade: You get what you pay for, the Fit is bottom of the line... My friend has an 02 Accord with nearly 200k miles, and the only part replaced was a failed catalytic converter last winter...

Riverrat: Your living in the country now. You need to buy a 4 wheel drive pickup and raise it up the air and put big tires on it.

ITM: Surely you checked the fluid. I hope. How long has it been since you've changed the fluid and filter in the transmission. Dirty fluid is a primary reason for failure. Changing it at recommended intervals will make it go a long time....true story

weave: ITM, that car has had nothing but dealer service at their inflated recommended intervals. I pay out the ass because I don't want to think about it. Changing the AT fluid had better have been one of them if it needed it / was due.
