Went down to Martins beach today. Very pretty spot. Lowdaon: http://martinsbeach.blogspot.com/

KingHade:
Sorry guys, but I'm on the property owners side on this one... The beach should be open to the public, fine, but he sure as shit dont need to let you across his property to get to it, or spend the crazy amounts of money to upkeep the "public access" roads to the beach... You want to use the road? Buy the property, you cheap fucks!

Nakkh:
^^ King.. ^California law prohibits land owners from blocking access to the beach. & no one can keep the public off any beach in the state. On top of that, the beach that was purchased was open to the public prior to Khosla purchasing the land. Khosla knew about the law and the previous public access to it and closed the beach anyways. As a result the courts fined him 11,000.00 per day that the property was closed. That comes to about $23,000.000.00 so far. Additionally, the San Mateo sheriff’s office gave notice to Khosla & the public that they will no longer keep people off his land. This rich asshole new the rules and tried to bend them to his will.

Riverrat:
It's really no different then a situation where you can't block access to someone's property if they have to cross yours to get to theirs.

Homer:
i agree fuck this guy he knew what he was buying.. just a fucktard that thinks he's better then everyone else...

snippy:
agrees with Homre.

Ridgerunner:
Get off my lawn! "You want to use the road? Buy the property, you cheap fucks." Bwahahaha!

KingHade:
Nakkh, I understand that he cant stop people from walking on his beach (so, if they are on other sections, and just walk along the sand, nothing he can do... thats the beach access law)... But he cand and should be able to stop people from walking/crossing on his LAND (aka the access road and parking lot)... That part isnt public, nor should it be...

Nakkh:
Nope- California coastal act states that if the land has access to the beach you can't close it off to the public. It's spelled out very explicitly to any potential land buyer. It's the law. You also can't buy up a farm on the coast & develope it into a hotel or change it from it's natural state. It's why the California is still undeveloped & beautiful.
