HechoAmano: The last time I remember seeing gas under $1.00, it was .98 or .99 cents a gallon on a christmas eve as I was going home. I think this was the christmas eve after the big real estate housing crash when gas first got up to about $4 a gallon.

HechoAmano: I remember early 2000's when everyone here who couldn't afford a used car were magically qualifying for new house on balloon notes, which after the crash somewhere around, well, maybe around 2011-2012, that type of loan was made illegal, cause when interest rates shot up, people couldn't pay and just bailed on their houses. Gas was almost $4 a gallon at that time, things crashed and a lot of people lost their bullshit jobs, and gas was .98 a gallon on xmas eve at a QuikTrip on my way home. I remember it because as I was leaving work, some guy's truck was stuck in a rut by work, like an idiot, no good deed goes unpunished, I tried to help him get out of it, and got covered in mud.
