Riverrat: But there isn't any rain by me. It keeps missing us.

KingHade: ITM... What are you talking about? There was a Formula 1 race today (the only racing that matters)...

Sun, July 5th, 2015 @ 06:37:34 PM

ITM: Green flag at 11:00 pm...WTF?
Sun, July 5th, 2015 @ 07:29:23 PM

Riverrat: NASCAR is being idiots. It's a 3 plus hour race starting at 11pm. The race won't be over until after 2 in the morning. That's just dumb.
Sun, July 5th, 2015 @ 07:38:18 PM

BigJay: That's how TV contracts work.
Sun, July 5th, 2015 @ 07:43:40 PM

KingHade: ^^River, Everyone already knows NASCAR is dumb! :P
Sun, July 5th, 2015 @ 07:45:26 PM

Riverrat: Well not everyone, you obviously think that but you don't count because you live in NY. One idiot move doesn't make the whole organization and everything they do dumb.
Sun, July 5th, 2015 @ 08:03:53 PM

KingHade: ^Didn't they do the same thing a few years ago for the Daytona 500?
Sun, July 5th, 2015 @ 08:09:11 PM

KingHade: 2012 I think... NASCAR is afraid of a little water... Put rain tires on and GO RACING! Punks...
Sun, July 5th, 2015 @ 08:10:23 PM

ITM: Thay goin...thay gone...Lap 17 already
Sun, July 5th, 2015 @ 09:02:04 PM

ITM: Last lap was a doozy. Did anybody see it besides me?
Mon, July 6th, 2015 @ 12:04:24 PM

KingHade: ^No... I watch real racing instead... F1 also had rain... and you know what? The cars KEPT RACING! Imagine that, racing during a race... Too bad NASCAR don't do that...
Mon, July 6th, 2015 @ 12:09:00 PM

ITM: I always complained about that. I think they should change tires and race no matter what. However Formula 1 is a death sport. The cars are nothing but high performance land aircraft that offer very little protection from terrible injury or death. Of course that may be part of the draw to racing is to see the cars wreck and possibly kill the driver and or spectators....I don't know
Mon, July 6th, 2015 @ 12:53:31 PM

Riverrat: I've seen F1 races in the rain, they shouldn't race in the rain either. It just turns into a demolition derby with multi-million dollar cars. That isn't racing, that's surviving.
Mon, July 6th, 2015 @ 12:58:25 PM

ITM: That's all Formula 1 and any kind of racing is...surviving. Formula 1 seems to be the highest stakes for dieing though
Mon, July 6th, 2015 @ 01:30:54 PM

Riverrat: Indy is a close second. I prefer watching NASCAR because I got tired of watching drivers get killed. There just is no protection in those cars.
Mon, July 6th, 2015 @ 03:00:37 PM

ITM: That wreck at the finish of last nights Daytona race was a doozy...I stayed up and saw that...it was a mess. The engine completely came out of the car and flung completely across the track into the infield
Mon, July 6th, 2015 @ 03:30:56 PM

Riverrat: I saw replays of it. It looked as bad as Geoff Bodine's wreck there several years ago. The big thing is both of them lived to race another day.
Mon, July 6th, 2015 @ 04:19:53 PM

KingHade: F1 one has gotten WAY safer... Infact, their last death was in 1994 (Arton Senna), Nascars last death was 2001 (Dale Ernhart)... And as for it being a demolishon derby in the rain, this week, no one crashed cause of rain... Infact, it came down to tire strategy... The cars that pitted too early for rain tires were to slow, and the cars that stayed out 5 minutes longer ended up winning...
