NASCAR is being idiots. It's a 3 plus hour race starting at 11pm. The race won't be over until after 2 in the morning. That's just dumb.

^No... I watch real racing instead... F1 also had rain... and you know what? The cars KEPT RACING! Imagine that, racing during a race... Too bad NASCAR don't do that...

I always complained about that. I think they should change tires and race no matter what. However Formula 1 is a death sport. The cars are nothing but high performance land aircraft that offer very little protection from terrible injury or death. Of course that may be part of the draw to racing is to see the cars wreck and possibly kill the driver and or spectators....I don't know

I've seen F1 races in the rain, they shouldn't race in the rain either. It just turns into a demolition derby with multi-million dollar cars. That isn't racing, that's surviving.

That's all Formula 1 and any kind of racing is...surviving. Formula 1 seems to be the highest stakes for dieing though

Indy is a close second. I prefer watching NASCAR because I got tired of watching drivers get killed. There just is no protection in those cars.

That wreck at the finish of last nights Daytona race was a doozy...I stayed up and saw that...it was a mess. The engine completely came out of the car and flung completely across the track into the infield

I saw replays of it. It looked as bad as Geoff Bodine's wreck there several years ago. The big thing is both of them lived to race another day.

F1 one has gotten WAY safer... Infact, their last death was in 1994 (Arton Senna), Nascars last death was 2001 (Dale Ernhart)... And as for it being a demolishon derby in the rain, this week, no one crashed cause of rain... Infact, it came down to tire strategy... The cars that pitted too early for rain tires were to slow, and the cars that stayed out 5 minutes longer ended up winning...
