It's actually my driveway. I have two driveways like that (one goes a bit of a distance around the back of the property). I've never had a gravel driveway before, and it's driving me nuts trying to keep the weeds out of it. I've used copious amounts of Roundup on it and shit keeps growing. Any ideas on how to maintain these things? Googling it hasn't been helpful.

If you are having weed problems then the driveway wasn't put it correctly. It should have had a few inches of compacted limestone put in and then the gravel over the top of that. The weeds won't grow in the compacted limestone. Short of having the whole driveway redone the only thing you can do is keep spraying roundup.

King, you can't just blacktop over it unless you want the asphalt to break up. It needs to be dug out and put down a few inches of compacted limestone then asphalt over that.
