I've been using "Hearos High Fidelity Ear Plugs" for years, they are great. Looks similar to this product.

My ears are still ringing from seeing AC/DC 20+ years ago.

I still remember a Tom Petty Heartbreakers show once. The lead guitar had his amp up so high, the high notes would make my ears bleed. I almost got up and left.
