Part of the plunge in FL is because they temporarily removed the gas tax.

Dunno about everywhere else, but for the last year or so, around here, gas will get down into the $2.9x range for a couple days, then shoot up .30 cents overnight. Then couple weeks or so gets back down into the $2.9x range for a couple days, then BAM goes up .30 cents again overnight. Pretty much bullshit right there.
