snippy: ya she did Homer. the transmissions cooler heat exchange got a slow leak on the coolant side. i got it under control tho. not cheap so far, them parts are spendy.

Homer: yes and i haerd the heads wrap also if you over heat them.. Those nazi's have zero tolrence for over heating their maichnes..

snippy: we were lucky to catch it pretty quick Homer. i measured the warp and its within specs. it was a little puzzle for awhile and i wanted to kill all germans but i got the head to a machine shop and now everything is gonna be ok. probably 1000 in parts and machining all together.

snippy: of course i had to buy about 350 dollars in bmw tools to do the job!

snippy: the double vanos system had me watching a tutorial on utube about it.
Mon, October 13th, 2014 @ 10:25:24 AM

Homer: i got a letter in the mail on that system snippy saying they will warrenty only that piece "vanos system" on my car for 10 years unlimted millage. which leads me to believe they have an issue with it but will not fix it unless it breaks. (in typical germen fashion, every other manufacturer would issue a recall)
Mon, October 13th, 2014 @ 11:04:13 AM

snippy: they did have issues with them making a god awful rattle noise. now theres a fix it kit you can buy, but BMW never copped to the problem.

Homer: They will not snippy.. but im sure what ever engineer designed the thing is now sweeping out the bathrooms at the factory..
