Homer:
What happened to little blue?

ITM:
Did it go BOOM?

HechoAmano:
Broke a timing belt a few days ago, non interference engine, but compression tanked in a cylinder test, 30 psi, instead of 140+. At about 270,000 miles, gotta let it go.

Homer:
No u don't drop another motor in it if u like it.

Riverrat:
With that kind of miles on it it's time for a new one.

Deleted User:
Put a 502 crate motor in it !!!!

ITM:
Go 632 Big Block...http://www.jegs.com/i/Blueprint-Engines/138/PS6320CTC/10002/-1

UncleJesse:
RIP...

BigJay:
You'll be fine with a 302. Go for the sleeper look. Surprise people.

Pickles:
Put a jet engine in the bed.

Homer:
Snippy if you want to hack up somethign get this from hecho...

snippy:
er,,, no thanks. but im glad Hecho got his moneys worth out of it.

Riverrat:
You could put the suspension from that under the Diamond T to give it an upgrade.

snippy:
its too long. wheelbase of this ranger is, 125 inches! the track is perfect tho, its under 6 feet. and if i went ford what engine from a ranger would be desirable for a hot rod? and the 300 ci 6 is too tall. i just cant see it happening with ford. i mean id havta get the 302 in it if i went ford.

Riverrat:
Just because you put a Ford chassis under it doesn't mean you couldn't put a Chevy engine on it.

Since we're bumping old pictures of Maynard's Escort, I thought I would bump this with an update. The guy who gave me a couple hundred for it runs his own 1-2 man towing business. He fixes dead cars in spare time and resells them. Took him about 6-8 months but I heard he had found a bad head gasket, which was probably why the thing ran so bumpy the last few years. He replaced the time belt, and sold it. I think it's doing work for the cartel down in Mexico now.
