Riverrat: Had a basal cancer thing removed from my arm. I was rather surprised at the size of the cut. The basal was about a .5" in diameter and I have a 2.5" slice that they sewed up.

HechoAmano: Years ago I had a little spot on my back. Doctor I know and my MD both said it was nothing, but it was itching so my MD cut it out for me. Turns out to be a basal cell. My doc freaks out, say I need to go get it resized by a MOS surgeon, but they also tell me the worst thing is that it will grow back, they aren't malignant, and they don't metastasize, basically, basal cell are harmless. I told him, "I'm not spending my $5k deductible to make sure you got it all, when your report should know, when the worst thing that happens is it grows back in ten years and I get you to cut it out again." Doc didn't like that but when he saw I wasn't going to budge he changed his tune some. I like the guy, but he's retiring this year and I won't mind looking for someone else.

Riverrat: I've had the thing for years. It finally got big enough my doctor said I should get it removed so I went ahead and got it removed.

HechoAmano: I had the same, a bump that would itch. It was pretty small but it had been bugging me for years. Haven't seen a thing I know of since it got cut out.
