Riverrat: The fix Ford came out with for the cremation device was to put a heavy piece of plastic in back of the tank. Didn't seem like much of a fix to me.

HechoAmano: My first car was a hand me down Pinto. Two door, brown, that I took in and got the recall fix done so the gas tank wouldn't explode. However, couple years later we were hanging around "the circle" and someone rear ended an old Pinto and it exploded right in front of us. Thankfully broke teenagers, not much gas in the tank.
