I remember a couple years ago, annual physical, I bad this itching bump on my back. Doc friend of mine looked at it "it's nothing", and my regular doc agreed. He said he would cut it out for me. I go back, he digs in, little more then he thought it would be, but he gets it. Week later phone call, "uh it was skin cancer, good news is it's a basil cell so it's not malignant but you'll need to go get it resurfaced to make sure" I do some research, non malignant, won't metastasize, can't kill you, worse it will do, is grow back and bug you again, IF it grows back. I tell my doc, did you get it all? He wavers. I tell him I'm not paying my $5000 deductible to get something done that isn't necessary, on something he charged me a couple hundred to cut out. Did you get it all, I ask, he still wavers. Anyway, after getting obviously upset with me refusing to get it done, he says, that we'll just keep an eye on it. Couple years or so later he doesn't even mention it anymore. It's still gone. If it comes back, I'll find someone to cut it out again.
