Tue, March 17th, 2015 @ 04:05:20 PM

Homer: Luckily its a run flat so hopefully it will stay together another 10 miles so I can get it changed stopid bmw does not have a spare
Tue, March 17th, 2015 @ 04:14:23 PM

Deleted User: That's gotta suck and blow !!! No spare ? Who'd fuckin' buy a car that doesn't carry a spare ?
Tue, March 17th, 2015 @ 04:22:52 PM

Homer: Not even a place for a spare ! Those Germans always keeping a jewish brother down!
Tue, March 17th, 2015 @ 04:25:00 PM

snippy: our x5 still has the spare. but the transmission with no dipstick pisses me off. today i checked its trany fluid level anyway! i got around the no dipstick bullshit!
Tue, March 17th, 2015 @ 04:30:27 PM

Riverrat: Drill a hole in it and put in a dipstick from something else.
Tue, March 17th, 2015 @ 05:17:21 PM

snippy: it doesnt leak so im not worried.^ i just wanted to make sure it was perfect. i changed the tranny coolers heat exchange do-hicky and lost maybe half a quart so i topped it off.

KingHade: Homer, no warantee?
Tue, March 17th, 2015 @ 08:00:28 PM

ITM: Some GM transmissions don't have a dipstick. They have a plug on the side to check the level. If it leaks it's full. However if you change the fluid and filter as you should and there are no obvious leaks it should be just fine.. Changing the trans fluid is the life of an automatic transmission just like changing the oil in the engine

Homer: nope king.. 160 bucks later all fixed..
Wed, March 18th, 2015 @ 08:45:02 AM

KingHade: That sucks... My bro buys his tires online, and gets the added insurance for $30 a tire... Last winter to put in 6 claims, got 6 new tires, no questions asked... Definitely worth it...
Wed, March 18th, 2015 @ 09:06:33 AM

BigJay: 6 new tires in one winter?!? Holy fuck!! I've only ruinedt (2) tires (sidewalls) in my life. I drive 25K miles a year. I drive purdy hardt...
Wed, March 18th, 2015 @ 12:27:48 PM

Riverrat: I've only ruined 1 tire in my life. Hit some debris in the road that also busted an aluminum rim. Other then that I've only had to replace them because they were wore out.
Wed, March 18th, 2015 @ 12:35:37 PM

Homer: This may be maybe the 2nd and i dont think i did it i think it was my kid.
Wed, March 18th, 2015 @ 12:42:15 PM

KingHade: BigJay, my brothers car is a crappy GM with stock low profile tires... What do you expect! :P
Wed, March 18th, 2015 @ 01:49:30 PM

BigJay: ^ Oh... I though maybe it was another reason NYC sucks!! ;^)
Wed, March 18th, 2015 @ 01:53:13 PM

KingHade: ^Oh, it is... Pothole season was bad last year, and getting worse this year! :P
Wed, March 18th, 2015 @ 02:13:55 PM

Opack: I think we should cut the budget some more
Wed, March 18th, 2015 @ 02:17:45 PM

ITM: ^ Nooooo Opie...We should reduce the highway maintenance fund and give our politicians a raise...It's the only thing to do
Wed, March 18th, 2015 @ 03:02:16 PM

Riverrat: Increasing or cutting the budget has nothing to do with potholes. It's the freezing and thawing of the ground under the road. No matter how much money they have that will still happen and there will still be potholes.
Wed, March 18th, 2015 @ 03:04:19 PM

Opack: True, but its the amount of money that decides which potholes get fixed
