Kayak fishing is popular here, mostly in bays, but some of the guys paddle out past the surf and fish a mile or so offshore. Never seen a pedal powered one though.

I wonder if they make an electric motor for it...like a trolling motor?

I saw one where the guy had rigged up an electric trolling motor on it. He had stuff hanging off of it all over the place. He liked making stuff with pvc pipe.
