According to the FWC you are suppose to kill iguanas when you see them now. The population is getting to big and they are a non native species.

I saw that. They are allegedly delicious, the latinos call them 'pollo de arbol'- chicken of the tree. One trapper down here claims to sell 10,000 pounds of iguana meat a month.

I didn't know people ate them. But I guess why not. They are an animal with meat on the bones.
