Riverrat: If the pushouts are above the waterline then they don't need to be sealed. They would make nice fishing platforms but I'm not sure what else you would use them for.

Riverrat: The article says they are above the waterline. And it looks like they are only for use when sitting still or maybe going really slow. But not for going fast.
