snippy: the little helicopter i have now is a little newer version of the one on the right there curious. that one is a hughes th55. mine is a hughes 269B, which is the civilian model.

Curious: Nice! I've always wanted a bell 47. Not sure how well they flew but they looked cool. Especially in the batman livery ;)

snippy: i learned on a bell47. d model. then g then g2 then g3b1's. they flew great if youve never flown the hughes 500 series like i did most of my career. i had a lot of fun in the oldt bells. my brother blew up my old d model bell that i bought from hunstville state prison there in texas. that old bell had looked for escaped prisoners back in the day there. i sold it to sprayers from outa alabama.

Riverrat: Is that the entrance to your estate?

Curious: Hey snips, how durable were the wooden blades? that kinda scares me. Otherwise would love to round one up sometime before I am too old to fly it.
