HechoAmano: The new style doesn't appeal to me as much as the older ones. The front end looks like they lengthened it? I dunno. Great trucks tho. I'm about to make the last payment on the one I got three years ago. Got almost 170,000 on mine and look forward to hopefully another couple hundred thousand miles.

HechoAmano: Nothing but normal wear and tear. Had to replace a carrier bearing couple years ago, at that time I had all the u joints replaced. Shocks and struts also at that time. Brakes and rotors. I noticed a drop of tran fluid, but it never leaves a spot. That's my only real concern at the moment. Paint is chipping. Clear coat on the bed cover is flaking off.

snippy: we got a 4runner as a backup rig before we got our jeep and it drove nicer then our tacoma. but it got worse mileage. sold it last fall.

HechoAmano: My Tacoma doesn't get very good mileage if you start running over 75 on the highway. Not great on mileage period.

HechoAmano: I'd say that's about right. Seems like I get better mileage around town than they highway, but it's probably worse. I swear when I'm hauling ass 80-85, that I watch the needle move.
