The police have been militarized with tactics, hardware and blurring legal lines. Of course this is in response...or maybe magically...occurring at the same time respect uniformed police, and each other are giving way to a "thug" culture.
The US is becoming not a nation of what is right or wrong...but one of blind, one size fits all set of regulations.

Trying to remember when I last heard a Republican rallying to remove civil forfeiture laws. I can't. They like them. They are all for big government too. Just different kids. They are both out to fuck us. They just choose a different hole to do it in so between the two parties they have them all covered.
