BigJay: Dude looks like a dooshfuck
Fri, November 21st, 2014 @ 02:06:28 PM

gettheledout: No way! With professional protest leaders on site waiting with bated breath, the democrats are unmatched in their get out the riot ground game. There's no way the right could hope to match that...
Fri, November 21st, 2014 @ 02:35:05 PM

Nakkh: Put the bill up for a vote pure and simple.
Fri, November 21st, 2014 @ 03:35:04 PM

gettheledout: Or, here's something radical, enforce the law pure and simple. Contrary to what the media force feeds us the immigration laws are not broken, enforcement is what's broken. Obama just guaranteed this bill will never get a vote.
Fri, November 21st, 2014 @ 05:02:48 PM

gettheledout: What gets me is how callous the left has become to our own millions of unskilled workers, particularly in the black community, who are barely making ends meet right now. So we want to throw 10 million more unskilled people competing for those scarce jobs? I get the shiny lure of new democrat votes, but have a heart for Americans too. And the young black community gets tossed a distraction, Ferguson! Riots!, and once again gets played the fool by the left as their lives just became eminently more difficult and discouraging with the stroke of a pen. When are people going to learn??

Fleedle: 10 YEARS LATER HERE WE ARE THE ASSHOLE DEMS LET ANOTHER 10 MILLION OR SO WALTZ RIGHT IN!!!
Thu, November 21st, 2024 @ 07:51:55 AM

Deleted User: I don't get it. We have immigration laws, enforce them. If illegals come here and stay out of trouble, (read no law breaking), for a certain amount of years, they should be allowed to stay...How to they square the federal law being violated by them being here? Aren't they breaking that? Legal immigrants, like most of my family, paid a lot of money, waited, went through background checks, etc. Who will approve the background of the illegals? Could the friendly fruit picker/landscaper be a pedophile? They say they do jobs Americans will not do...so raise the pay of pickers, landscapers until Americans will do it. It may raise the price of quite a few things; but why does this element get an exception from the free market? People complain that Unions distort, well, so does artificial depression of prices. And on the political front: Presidents, governors, and all the rest have ignored it for years. Obama wants to soft sell us, Reagan gave them amnesty; all parties feed at the trough supplied by industry making money from this. This has gone on for so long we now have a quasi-apartied system talked about openly, only it is dressed up as us helping the illegals by allowing them to earn money to send back home. Maybe victims of corrupt/bad governance in their home country should stay there and fight to correct it all, instead of running, and bringing a lot of the mess to our land. Or something like that.

KingHade: I agree with 555...
Fri, November 21st, 2014 @ 06:28:34 PM

Nakkh: Only because the Repubs are acting like petulant children. There is a bill, put it up for a vote. ---------> Or, here's something radical, enforce the law pure and simple. Contrary to what the media force feeds us the immigration laws are not broken, enforcement is what's broken. Obama just guaranteed this bill will never get a vote.
Fri, November 21st, 2014 @ 06:55:54 PM

Riverrat: Exactly Nakkh. There are a lot of things that same logic should apply to. But the politicians want to keep their jobs so rather then enforce laws that are on the books they have to write new ones. Probably the only thing they really need to do and they don't get done is pass a budget. A lot of the rest of the things they pass laws for are already covered with laws already on the books.
Fri, November 21st, 2014 @ 07:14:04 PM

gettheledout: MSNBC is not a good source for news nakkh but you should have to cite the Ed Rendell interview for your new talking point I.e. petulant children...
Fri, November 21st, 2014 @ 08:17:24 PM

Nakkh: If the shoe fits....... And yes, The shoe fits.
Fri, November 21st, 2014 @ 08:33:24 PM

Deleted User: Obama said if an illegal had been here over 5+ years, no arrest record, and had a child that was legal, said illegal will not be deported. Would have to get straight with the law, pay a fine, register, go to the end of the line for getting papers. Not sure whats wrong with this approach.
Fri, November 21st, 2014 @ 08:33:40 PM
Fleedle: yea what could go wrong?!?! until the border is sufficiently closed you cant allow any of this shit
Tue, November 21st, 2023 @ 08:31:48 AM

Nakkh: ^ Count Blackenstein proposed it.
Fri, November 21st, 2014 @ 08:36:20 PM

Deleted User: Well yeah, but other than that.
Fri, November 21st, 2014 @ 08:37:50 PM

Deleted User: "What is wrong with this approach": Rewarding those who break federal law for at least five years is an issue. Meanwhile those that come here legally have to go through a very painful and long process..is that fair? And on the baby issue, if someone intentionally trespasses onto your personal land, picks up someone of value...is it theirs? Or is it wrongfully gained and should be taken away? Go to the back of the line...I fully agree with it..in their country of origin, working through the embassy.
Sat, November 22nd, 2014 @ 05:48:38 AM

BigJay: Ifn you think this is about anything butt votes, yer kiddin yerself
Sat, November 22nd, 2014 @ 06:39:07 AM

Riverrat: How does someone that came here illegal prove they have been here 5+ years? If there was documentation on them then they would have been deported, or should have been. Are we suppose to just take the word of someone that has already proven they are willing to break the law?
Sat, November 22nd, 2014 @ 06:46:21 AM

snippy: its a mess alright.
Sat, November 22nd, 2014 @ 07:03:30 AM

Nakkh: I want to see the republicans plan on how to deport 11 million people without destroying the economy & starting a war.
Sat, November 22nd, 2014 @ 10:02:05 AM

weave: They don't intend to. They want the cheap labor. It's all red meat.
Sat, November 22nd, 2014 @ 11:07:42 AM

Riverrat: Rounding up and deporting 11 million people would be an impossible task. But that doesn't mean we should make them legal. I think the first step is to do a better job of stopping them from coming here in the first place. And second would be to not give them so many benefits when they are here so they're not as happy about staying.
Sat, November 22nd, 2014 @ 11:34:23 AM

snippy: i read where giving them amnesty would help keep alot of illegal peeps who have been getting trained in high tech work in our country longer instead of taking it(the tech) back to the 3rd world. dont know how valid that is but thats outa the silicon valley scuttlebutt.
Sat, November 22nd, 2014 @ 11:52:03 AM

gettheledout: You can't round up and deport 11 million, but if the law were to be enforced and e-verify used many would self-deport.
Sat, November 22nd, 2014 @ 11:53:56 AM

Riverrat: I would think that people working in the high tech industry are here legally. The only problem they might have is their visa expiring and having to leave because of that. But that would open up good paying jobs for Americans.
Sat, November 22nd, 2014 @ 12:31:49 PM

snippy: well thats about what i thought too Rats. maybe im not understanding what they is talking about. heres one article ill try to find the other. http://jpupdates.com/2014/09/09/billionaires-push-illegal-immigrant-amnesty-us-high-tech-workers-suffer/
