Opack:
Why are we not blaming the insurance companies that purposefully cancelled these?!?? Your anger is directed at the wrong thing. It's INSURANCE companies that are fucking you over, NOT OBAMACARE! Inflated prices for an asprin at the hospital? Blame Insurance! Got turned down because you have a pre-existing condition? Blame Insurance! Insurance premiums going up year after year? BLAME INSURANCE! I have more trust in our broken shitty government than I do Insurance and big business.. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO ARE KILLING YOU, NOT OBAMACARE.

BuckFutter:
SUCKAS.

Speedy:
Yay! California wins!

BuckFutter:
Dopie, you sir are aptly named.

Opack:
How? This insurance scam has been going on faaaaaaar longer than Obamacare.. Big business and insurance has been raping us faaaaar longer than Obama has been in office, so it surely can't be ALL Obamas fault

snippy:
its good to see fuckface diehard repubes eat shit over the details of ombamacare. sweet sweet sweet.

Riverrat:
Obamacare requires a high level of coverage. People can't just buy catastrophe or limited coverage anymore. Any policy that doesn't meet the obabmacare requirements had to be cancelled and replaced with one that did. And of course with the higher coverage and requiring coverage of preexisting conditions that rates went waaaay up.

BuckFutter:
You're probably on your evil capitalist employer's plan. The majority of these are private policies carried by people who are self-employed and not a part of a group. Just wait. Like Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman, they're just getting started. How is it good to see 5 million people lose the insurance their president repeatedly assured them they could keep? sweet sweet sweet.

BuckFutter:
Can you cite your source on "millions of peeps"? Seems HHS can't, or more than likely won't quantify that figure. I can't wait to remind all my liberal friends to respect the rule of law when the SC scuttles large parts of this monstrosity via King v Burwell and/or Sissel v HHS.

KingHade:
Why can't we just have a real socialized medicine plan like the rest of the modern world?!?!

BuckFutter:
CHEERS!

Nakkh:
Faux news so you know the numbers are accurate! LMAO!

BuckFutter:
Aren't you the user who posted a bunch of links to NYT, thinkprogress, and huffpost on one of my other threads? LMAO!

Nakkh:
Nobody takes Fox numbers seriously ...

Nakkh:
There has been a net GAIN of 7 million people who are insured. & what does cancelation even mean? I'm guessing it means that if you switched policies it counts here as a cancellation. Total BS numbers.

Fleedle:
The only facts we know about Obamacare is that the government wont tell them to us. If it was so great why hide the info? Why put off portions until after elections? Also, look what the swedes think about their socialized medical plans.....http://www.thelocal.se/20140117/hospital-queues-tied-to-insurance-trend

weave:
The stupidity of Obamacare is because Republicans refused to sit down and even start to work out ANY sort of compromise or alternative. They knew Dems had 60 votes and they wanted it to pass so they could win back control of both houses and the White House -- and they are on track to do that. So congrats. That and tricks like shutting down the government and other methods of sabotaging the government was all about getting power back, and never about what's best for the country. They all suck and we are all just their pawns -- and I'm sure the Dems are figuring out how to fuck the country over so they can get their power back too now. We are all idiots.

BuckFutter:
You really think the GOP had that sort of long game in mind?? Quite conspiratorial.

Riverrat:
If the SC or congress overturn obamacare now the numbers of people without healthcare is going to skyrocket. All the people that have subsidized insurance won't be able to afford it if the lose the subsidy.

BuckFutter:
LOL @ femail. CHEERS!

BuckFutter:
Sorry to disappoint you, but 100% mail.

BuckFutter:
LOL has your maleman arrived yet?

snippy:
you are straycunt arent you? i guess that would explain the effeminate. ever gonna you man up and say who you are?

Fleedle:
Blame the insurance companies for rising premiums? Why is it that the only medical procedures that ever go down in price are the ones not covered by insurance? A pair of tits used to be 10 grand- now its a fraction of that. How about Lasik? Used to be thousands, now you can get it for less than $500. The medical companies that do those procedures are for profit yet they get more effecient and cheaper. Hmmm, weird eh? People talk about the evils of profit motive in health care but the facts tell a different story.

Nakkh:
3rd class Junkmail... BuckFutter: Sorry to disappoint you, but 100% mail.

20/20* vision for just 99.95 per eye! at Joes Eyeshack.... C/mon dowwnnnn!!! *vision results may vary.....

snippy:
bug fucker is straycatgeo. it all adds up. straybugfucker. repube shill and general all around jerk.

Nakkh:
Oh yeah- Strayshadt was a total Asshole casserole.

Fleedle:
If you want to go to Joe's, you can! There are more examples....getting your teeth lasered white used to be close to a grand- now its a couple hundred bucks. Why does that never happen with procedures covered by insurance?

Nakkh:
Because it's a totally rigged system.

Fleedle:
Who rigged it? Also, why not try and let some of the positive aspects of the free market into other medical procedures? Granted you dont want grandma price shopping for kidney replacement but it could be used with other more common procedures.

BuckFutter:
You gals are going to be in for a real shock when the Supremes rule on King. HEY, as a matter of fact I think that case is about alleged typos as well! Or were they "speakos"? Either way, Gruber's was intentional as opposed to snips "typo" which was all about not paying attention in 2nd grade. Wondering how Chief Justice Roberts feels about his previous ACA ruling after watching the Jon Gruber video series? And all these revelations on the heels of an epic midterm fisting. Butthurt-a-palooza! CHEERS!

Nakkh:
True- If over the counter meds per perscription only, they would cost 10x more than they do.
Question: Why do you have to get 'special insurance' for anything above the neck? Dental / Vision...

weave:
BF of course they had that long game in mind. Several of them went on record several years ago saying their #1 priority was to make Obama fail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-A09a_gHJc

BuckFutter:
No way letting that monstrosity pass was in the playbook. Sorry, way too conspiratorial. And backing up your assertion with 7 seconds of Mitch McConnell saying they want to make Obama a 1 termer is more than a stretch. Most of the ACA wasn't even implemented until after the 2012 elections. The electorate hadn't yet had a chance to hate it in practice, only in theory.

weave:
Oh yee of short memory, it was supposed to be implemented before the 2012 election. You must have forgotten Obama's little executive actions delaying key portions of it until after that election. And that video was just one example. How many more do I have to provide before you are convinced? Probably would never be enough, and I don't really care anymore anyway. Arguing about it on the internet ain't going to change anything.

BuckFutter:
Wive, you're delusional if you honestly believe congressional republicans wanted the ACA to pass. In other news, Cassidy is up 16 points over Mary Landrieu. Hello #54. CHEERS!

BigJay:
Insurance companies are greedy & evil, the government is greedy & stoopidt. We gotta hell of a compination in charge of our health care. It's keepin a lotta smart young folks from entering the medical fieldt. Ifn y'all don't bleeve that, there ain't really no sense talkin bout it. (TRUE STORY)

KingHade:
^Thats what they said about socialize medicine (That no new doctors would enter it, becuase pay is capped at a certain level)... Let, there are new doctors here, and there are new doctors their, so neither seems to be true... The fact is, there is ALWAYS be young new doctors to go around, we just need a fair system that benefits everyone...

BuckFutter:
http://www.physiciansfoundation.org/uploads/default/Health_Reform_and_the_Decline_of_Physician_Private_Practice.pdf Skip to page 73. This seems to refute your assertion.

KingHade:
That "report" is just guessing about the future... Maybe they are right, maybe they are wrong, only timme will tell... But... Like I said, people said that about the European systems 10-20-30 years ago when they all started, and it never came true... So who knows?

KingHade:
I voted for Obama the first time, but didn't fall for it the second time... He hasn't done SHIT of the stuff he promised... He JACKED UP this healthcare thing... Didn't close Guantanamo... Didn't bring the troops home from Afghanistan and Iraq... Didn't lift the embargo on Cuba... Nothing... Not one damn thing that was important...

Opack:
Fleedle, I think you countered your argument with this statement: Why is it that the only medical procedures that ever go down in price are the ones not covered by insurance? -- Thats because insurance JACKED THE PRICES UP OF EVERYTHING THEY CAN, THEN CRY POVERTY THAT THEY CANT PAY THE BILLS AND RAISE THE RATES!

Riverrat:
I disagreed with him on closing Gitmo. We did leave Iraq, the problem is the war wasn't over, we just left in the middle of it and now we have to go back. At this point I don't know what the answer to healthcare is. It maybe to broken to fix. I think our government has also gotten to the point where it's too broken to fix. Mainly because what needs to be done will never get done.

Fleedle:
Dopie, think about what you're saying. The insurance companies pay the bills. You think they WANT to pay more for procedures? That is patently ridiculous. Also, for everyone saying that 'single payer is the way to go!' or 'Lets have socialized medicine, kumbaya!' should realize that we do have a single payer system here in the US of A- its called the VA and its a goddamned disaster.

Speedy:
We also have a single payor system that works reasonably well: Medicare. Why not raise the payroll deduction for Medicare from 1.65% to 5% and lower the medicare age to 40 or 45?

Fleedle:
King, Obama has been a huge disaapointment but for none of the reasons you stated. He left iraq too early, against the advice of anyone in the military with a brain- even George W the bumbling retard predicted exactly what would happen if we pulled out too early. But he did and they have to go back in, and yes, there will be more boots on the ground. He lied about that- surprise! 90% of the casualties in afghanistan happened on his watch- he surged the troops in that campaign- (why no protests from think progress or barbara streisand??) Seriously, the embargo on cuba is on your list of things he should have dealt with? Man, there are around 25 things he's fuckered worse than a freakin cuban embargo. Now lets see what he does with his executive amnesty plan- either way, it is sure to piss off a large portion of the country. I am glad you didnt vote for him the second time- I cant understand how people actually did. Hey, as Gruber said "Its the stupidity of the american voter."

Fleedle:
Speedy! You think medicare works reasonably well?!? Its one of the major problems with the whole system.

Fleedle:
Thats like saying social security works reasonably well. Sort of like the first few hours on the titanic was a nice cruise. There's an iceberg coming but this time everyone knows about it and nobody does squat.

Speedy:
It worked well when my dad was sick. Pay for it out of income tax revenue (Like we're essentially doing now) or raise the payroll tax deduction to cover the costs, so everybody with a job pays. It would be better than the mess we've got now.

Fleedle:
Medicare will pay the bills now but its an insolvent enterprise- I know a couple Drs and then can bitch at length about the various medical schemes the US has- medicaid is a disaster, medicare isnt quite as bad but is a wicked devourer of money, and obamacare is the largest pile of shit they could imagine. A full on shitstorm. A fuckup of the first degree. A colossal combination of hubris and failure, a, well, you get the idea. One is an ER doc and the other a family practitioner.

KingHade:
Fleedle... Cuba is on my list because it'll take one fucking stroke of the pen to be done... Seriously, NO ONE in America supports that anymore, the need for it died over 20 years ago... Just one day infront of Congress, and I'm sure the issue would be over... but he cant even do that... (its like having an easy layup in a game you are losing, and not even taking the shot)!

Fleedle:
Man, its a different story down here. The cubans I know want the embargo, they really really hate the castros. They say its the most beautiful country and they will never go back- some of the stories about how their families freed are pretty insane. My buddy worked with a guy who was a pro windsurfer in cuba and windsurfed his ass to miami. !Viva las estados unidos!

KingHade:
^Who cares what the Cubans in America want? Americans in America want it lifted, and Cubans in Cuba want it lifted... So it's settled, lets just lift the damn embargo!

Riverrat:
With Russia flying bombers around the Gulf Of Mexico now I think we should keep the embargo in place just so we can keep a close eye on what's going in and out of Cuba.

gettheledout:
From insurance cancellations to the Cuban embargo all in one thread, I love the interwebs! Just my opinion but I think the SC striking down obamacare no is a big stretch. Roberts coulda (shoulda) done it last year and he caved. If he caved on the constitutionality of the gubmint telling us what we have to purchase from a private company, I don't see how he can justify striking the law based on ambiguous wording. Just my two cents. Plus, fuck Cuba...

weave:
Ooo, if the SC strikes down Obamacare, I'm sure Hannity, Rush, and everyone on Fox will start screaming about activists judges -- oh yeah, they won't. The MSNBC and the dkos crowd will be screaming this time about them.

Fleedle:
lol bump
