Better than what?

Deleted User:
Better than sitting next to a Hot chic, I bet !

weave:
You bitch!

UncleJesse:
I have those same shoes...

Pickles:
This is where a little status pays off. This leg room makes 13 hours in coach a little more pleasant.

Ridgerunner:
^ Rock on meng!

Pickles:
Ridge, I have a long way to go before I reach your level!

KingHade:
With all the travel I did in the last 3 years, I still don't have enough points to get anything free... What am I doing wrong?

Pickles:
^Not flying the same airline for every trip?

KingHade:
It was US Air for almost every trip...

Pickles:
Did you join their program? Did you use a US Air credit card to purchase the tickets?

weave:
It's near impossible to get status when flying on your own dime. The only time I ever got it was when I did a 90 day "trial" buy-in for $200 because I knew I'd fly enough in those 90 days to qualify for the next year, and that was an unusual Summer.

KingHade:
Picless, miles program yes, CC no... Weave, I agree, seems like the whole milage system is rigged against the little guy...

Ridgerunner:
Weave is absolutely right. The only way you'll consistently benefit from any reward program is if you travel a lot for business.

KingHade:
That sux... So whats the point?

Ridgerunner:
The business traveler is the bread and butter of airlines and hotels, not tourists. Loyalty programs lock-in repeat business. Like or not, that's the point.

KingHade:
So the point is the fuck over someone like me, who was flying almost monthly, on their own dime? Cause thats not the business you want to keep, the loyal customer... :(

ITM:
King...that's the way it is all over. Screw the little guy and put the money in the bank. Money hoarders and exploiters the lot of them
