gettheledout: Im a bernie vote

Fleedle: Jesus Christ. Ask someone in a socialist country how they like it.

BigJay: ^ What?!? Do research?!? Why, all ya haft do is listen to the Tee Vee...

gettheledout: I'd rather have Bernie on the ticket especially if we get stuck with the Donald as our nominee. The more trump talks and says nothing of substance, the more I think Clinton will make him look like a fool in debates. He might be able to beat Bernie

gettheledout: I'm talking about in the primary. Although California's is so late there's a good chance it will be decided by then. If it's trump vs Clinton we're screwed

weave: "Ask someone in a socialist country how they like it." -- people in Norway, Finland, Sweden, etc seem pretty happy with it -- well up until they let in all those immigrants.

gettheledout: I think Norway is the closest to an actual socialist economy of those listed, but what industry would you have the government seize from private citizens? In order for Norway to make it work they not only have massive income taxes and VAT's but also nationalized shipping and oil. That's necessary to fund the welfare state for a population roughly the size of the greater Atlanta area. With the mismanagement our government is prone to, how would we provide it for 300+ million people?

gettheledout: Best case scenario for the republicans is after New Hampshire Christie, bush, kasaich, Carson, fiorina drop out. Most of their supporters will likely go to Rubio who is way more electable than Cruz. If Trump runs the table on Super Tuesday with 30-35% of the vote it's all over imo

UncleJesse: It's like rearranging the chairs on the Titanic. The outcome will we still be the same, Hitlery as Prez.
Sun, February 7th, 2016 @ 01:17:50 PM

gettheledout: People don't like Hillary, she can be beat. But honestly I'd rather have her than Trump. As you said a few weeks ago, better the devil you know...
Sun, February 7th, 2016 @ 01:25:11 PM

Riverrat: I don't understand how anyone can like or vote for Hillary. I don't like trump but I can understand the attraction. He is flamboyant and has a lot of charisma. But obama was like that also. Both with no substance beyond that. We need someone that can actually do the job.
Sun, February 7th, 2016 @ 01:50:57 PM

gettheledout: doesnt matter who I vote for in the general election the D will carry CA
Sun, February 7th, 2016 @ 02:24:01 PM

Fleedle: "Norway, Finland, Sweden, etc seem pretty happy with it" They are happy with their government but they keep getting annoyed with you american lefties calling them socialists.

Fleedle: Danish prime minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, speaking at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government this week, says Sanders got more than a few things wrong. “I know that some people in the US associate the Nordic model with some sort of socialism. Therefore I would like to make one thing clear. Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy.”
